Board Certified in Integrative and Holistic Medicine (ABIHM)
RECODE trained for prevention and treatment of cognitive decline
Dr. Bradt has been providing care in Integrative and Functional Medicine in Asheville for over 15 years. She is a certified practitioner with the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) and has completed advanced clinical training through IFM in chronic pediatric conditions and in the ReCode protocol for cognitive decline, covering the span of functional medicine from children through aging adults.
Her passion for integrative and functional medicine stems from an innate trust that our bodies can have an amazing ability to heal if they are given the support they need. More importantly, we can lead healthier, longer and happier lives if we are able to optimize our wellness and prevent diseases from emerging. The practice of functional medicine provides a framework by which to listen, investigate, educate and empower individuals to take control of their health by understanding and addressing the root causes of disease.
When working with patients dealing with complicated health conditions or chronic illness, Dr. Bradt takes an integrated approach using the knowledge and tools of western medicine combined with a holistic approach to investigate what underlies the health specific to each patient. She will listen to the full story, review all past data and integrate the timeline of events to better understand the drivers of the health issues present. Utilizing conventional testing and cutting-edge integrative diagnostic tests combined with the history and health timeline, clear issues and patterns emerge. She works together with her patients to create an individualized care plan to rebalance body systems, strengthen resilience and address specific medical conditions with a comprehensive approach. Care plans often include nutrition recommendations, lifestyle changes, nutraceuticals, health coach/nutritionist referral, alternative therapy modalities, counseling, herbal medicine and pharmaceutical medications when appropriate. Most importantly, she work as your partner, helping you better understand your health and reach your goals in achieving optimal wellness.
In addition to Dr. Bradt's role as an integrative physician, she is the mother of two wonderful children and enjoys spending her time outside surrounded by the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains. When she is not in the office she is taking care of her small farm, mountain biking, paddle boarding, hiking and spending time with her family.
